Purpose
An introduction to the environmental responsibilities of the environmental and water resource industries through practical experience and exposure to water quality, pesticides, stormwater and agriculture, wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species inventories, permits, and coordination with regulatory agencies at the county, state and federal levels.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
- Perform work under direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures and clearly defined processes.
At the Operational and Company Level
- Interact with multiple departments and peers within the organization and
participate in intern program learning and development opportunities.
Do the Work
- Learn and participate in complex field assessments, land use studies, and
parkland impact assessments. - Conduct biological monitoring and assessments for quantifying impacts of
development on wildlife populations.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college program pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, Ecology, Biology, Chemistry,
Environmental Toxicology, Civil/Environmental Engineering or related discipline. - One or more (1+) years' general work experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must hold a valid state driver's license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Partially indoor professional office environment which may include exposure to bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
- Partially outdoor work environment which may include exposure to adverse
weather conditions, varying temperatures, excessive noise, and/or potential
hazards. - Mobility around an office environment.
- Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Mobility around a job/construction site to include walking, bending, crawling, climbing, squatting, or kneeling and wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Primarily local travel during the business day.
- Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
Salary and eligible variable compensation (if any) commensurate with experience.
Range $18 - $23 hourly and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
